Too much to practice

I've found an antidote for practice overwhelm is to choose one specific task and commit to it. For example, learn the bass line of this one song or hone in on one verse of the melody. Some audio engineers mix recorded music this way as well - measure by measure, chunk by chunk.

Focusing on just one task is a way to let go of everything else you do not know or cannot think your way out of, at least for the moment.
